Cannabidiol (CBD) In The World Of Sports.

Good day everyone. We love a good infographic, don’t we? And as of late, I noticed that our community seems to be interested in Cannabidiol (CBD) as well. As such, what better way to integrate the two and have an article and infographic about it? Here goes:

Unbeknownst to many, most of the health benefits found in marijuana and hemp come from a special cannabinoid called cannabidiol, which is more commonly known as CBD.

This cannabis compound has spawned an industry of its own and it is currently being patronized a great deal. Its potential to upend the lives of many remain high but it seems like professional athletes can benefit from it the most.

Cannabis and the professional sports world don’t really mix as sports commissions are not always welcoming of marijuana usage among athletes. Despite this fact, CBD remains to be a solid product to use for athletes and here are some compelling reasons why more and more are using it.

It Doesn’t Show on Tests

As it is a by-product of marijuana, some athletes are still concerned with how they will fare in drug tests upon consuming a CBD product. The good news is that drug tests for marijuana will only test positive if the person has consumed copious amounts of the psychoactive compound, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Most CBD products contain a concentration of 0.3% or less, but you should always check the label.

However, that doesn’t mean athletes should consume as much CBD as they want immediately. According to Herb, a drug test will become positive if the user consumes somewhere between 1,000 to 2,000 mg of CBD on the day before a testing period. The good news is that the amount is extremely large and far from the serving suggestion of CBD products. CBD can activate its effects even in much smaller doses.

Benefits Fit for Sports

Some of the greatest CBD benefits are its anti-pain and anti-inflammatory properties. A dosage of CBD can help athletes recover from swelling and even the aches they get from rigorous training or even after a game. This is why more manufacturers are coming up with topical CBD solutions like ointments and creams.

Furthermore, CBD can also help athletes feel more relaxed to loosen themselves up after a game. CBD’s feeling of calm and relaxation should not be confused with the high people get from smoking marijuana. As CBD is a non-psychoactive drug; it is not capable of causing a state of euphoria for its users.

Its Advantages Are Proven and Tested

Aside from the testimonies of private individuals and professional athletes, the benefits of CBD have already been scientifically proven and tested. The number of resources that was poured into studies and research on the compound is enough to let people understand that CBD does work and it has a lot of potential as well.

Unlike other alternative medicines or health supplements, CBD has a long line of scientific support behind it. CBD is a growing industry that could help a lot of individuals in the future, and athletes could certainly use this opportunity to try out the miracle compound.
